

Mike King is the chief announcer for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network, and is the radio voice of all INDYCAR Series events. His voice is synonymous with the sport and is the second longest running anchor in the 59 year history of the network behind the legendary Sid Collins. He was named chief announcer of the Indianapolis 500 and all INDYCAR Series events in 1999. King joined the IMS Radio Network in 1995 as a pit reporter for the Indianapolis 500. A native of Winston-Salem , N.C. , King began his career in sports for Campbell University . He moved into television quickly for local CBS and NBC affiliates. In addition to radio work in motorsports Mike has also worked for ESPN, ESPN 2, VERSUS and SpeedTV.
Driver analyst
Former INDYCAR Series driver Davey Hamilton returns to the IMS Radio Network booth as driver analyst. Hamilton had 22 top-10 finishes in 48 INDYCAR Series starts despite suffering serious injuries at Texas Motor Speedway in 2001. Davey has returned to action competing in the last five Indy 500 mile races.
Turn Announcer
In 20-plus years of broadcasting, Indiana native Mark Jaynes has handled play-by-play for events ranging from high school championships to NCAA Tournament games. He has been the consistent voice of turn three for many years and the second most heard voice on the network behind Mike King.
Pit Reporters
Jake Query is now in his fourth year with the Radio Network, beginning with the 2007 Indianapolis 500. Jake has worked as an anchor for both Fox Sports Net and WRTV-TV in Indianapolis. He also hosted the "Morning News" on WIBC Radio and currently is the afternoon drive host on Sports Radio 1260 WNDE.
Michael Young, also known around town as “Track Dude” has been in broadcasting since he began his career in Toledo, Ohio. Moving to Indy in 1991, he became instantly at home at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and on air at WRZX. Over the years he has hosted his own racing talk show on WNDE and also can be seen on the large video screens of the public address system at IMS.
Nick Yeoman began his career on the radio network in 2009 working as a spotter and eventually in the pits for the Indy 500. He was the on air voice for Ball State basketball and football as an undergraduate. Nick’s knowledge and relationships with the teams of INDYCAR already runs deep in just his third year.
